I started to learn Salsa on 1 in 2006. Then I went on to learn on 2 style in 2007 and Afro-Cuban style in 2013. I have been attending classes and workshops to study with some of the greatest artists from around the world such as Adolfo & Tania, Juan Matos, Alegria, Vanessa Lacedonia, and many more. I have always been interested in many different dance forms and have been training in various types and styles of dance.
My first performance was in 2008 when I performed a shine routine in a group directed by Gak a.k.a. Lion. In 2009, my friends and I joined forces and formed a project team called Black Feet and showcased a variety of performances with unique style at many occasions including the gala show held in celebration of Korea International Salsa Festival.
In 2012, I joined Mambo Corriente and danced in both shine and partner work performances at many big events including Korea Salsa Olympiad. I joined G-ya Dance Company as one of the original members when the Company was founded in 2013, and trained and performed with the company for 3 years. Since 2016 until now, I have been training and performing with Sol’s Afro-Cuban Contemporary Project whose performance received rave reviews at Jeju International Latin Culture Festival in 2016 among other events.
I have been teaching dance since 2008, mainly Mambo shine and footwork although I also teach partner works in Mambo, sensual Bachata, and Kizomba. I am dancing and teaching professionally and independently in South Korea, partnering with other great dancers in and out of the country.
